Thanksgiving Day (2010) and What I Am Thankful For...

So with all the wonderful turkey taking it's toll on me, I decided to sit at my computer and take a moment to list a few things that I am thankful for this Thanksgiving Day...

My Husband - my loving husband that is always supportive of me, whether it's going back to school, admiring our horses, watching the kids so that I can get something else done, my Christmas mania, and everything else I can come up with in my hectic days.

My Children - although my oldest is not with us, he is always on my mind and in my heart as one of the reasons that I want to be a better person. My middle son is full of so much emotion and potential, he shares all that he is so readily and is pure joy to be around. Last but not least, our youngest, the princess is easily the hardest to keep up with but it is so amazing looking at the world through the eyes of a young child.

Family & Friends - a network that helps me to succeed, and a treasure of valued opinions and insight as well as creativity and inspiration.

Our Home - I am extremely thankful that we are not in a hardship position in this difficult economic time, and am acutely aware that it could happen to anyone. I hope that we continue to push forward and that we can continue to be safe and happy in our home and work/business.

Thank you to everyone that knows and loves us and your continued support and input! Happy (belated) Thanksgiving!!

Lots of website work to get done this week...working on updates to Phara Farm and Sunh Kyst Arabians (for more information about our "Golden" Horses, check out Phara Heritage Society), and also ECAHS or Eastern Crabbet Arabian Horse Society but all of this work is being done on a demo site right now. Will share this link once the updates/redesign is completed.

I have also been toying with the idea of a redesign of our home site, SunStar Arabians, if I can figure out how to apply my CSS to the photo gallery. Maybe I will switch it out and use a different gallery to make it easier...

A couple of sites that we have gotten completed and are new this week are for people searching for Haflinger Horses For Sale and Clydesdale Horses For Sale which share the same look but we will be building on each with their own original content...fun projects!

So excited with holidays around the corner, this is absolutely my favorite time of the year!! And it looks like we're even in for snow :) Many forecasts say that we are in for the worst winter that the Pacific NW has seen since the '50s and I just LOVE having snow at Christmastime...it happens so rarely.

We're cooking at our home this year for both holidays, Eddy is the master of the Thanksgiving Feast and I am Queen of Christmas. I can't wait for Thanksgiving, just so I can start Christmas decorating and baking. I have big plans for the goodies, and will be shipping out to friends and family...and I promise to post pictures of the process and end results!

In the works, my traditional sugar cookies and a twist as I use some of them to build Christmas Trees and drizzle icing down. We are doing caramel coated apples rolled in all sorts of fun topping (nuts, toffee, peppermint) and then drizzled with even more good stuff. These are the two main pieces, will leave the rest as a surprise.

Another of our horse websites...

How could I forget? We've had this domain forever, but until recently have not put anything up live on the web on it. So now we have a wonderful page rank 3 directory for horse related websites up and running! HorsesAcrossAmerica.com is now a horse directory that is completely free to add your site to, and while it may be just in the beginning stages right now, we expect to see wonderful things happen with this site as well. Please bear with the basic design right now, when we get some of our other sites completed we will revisit design of the site and make it "pretty" :)

Website Projects

It seems like we keep coming back to building new websites for all to enjoy, so here's some information about a couple new horse websites we have up and running and a few others that are brand new and of varied interests (just for fun!) will come next.

After many years of frequenting horse classifieds sites online, and knowing the various amounts of money required to advertise on said sites, we decided to build our own horse classifieds site and make it absolutely free to place your ad including up to 10 photos, the ability to embed YouTube video in the video section AND in the description/text area, pedigree fields, and a website link to your home site or pedigree page (whichever you desire). All of these features are available to the basic ads as well as the featured ads, with the featured ads being the lowest cost in the industry! Our next project is the social community for horse friends online, EquineEarth.com. The perfect place to make your own profile and share photos and videos with friends, join in the forum discussions, write your own blogs, form or join in the groups, and much more!! It's a really fun site that lets you keep in touch with your other horse friends without having a bunch of random friend requests from unknown people that you just KNOW are spammers.




These are the first of our fun new sites and announcements, we hope that you enjoy them and can utilize them to help you market your horse and network with other horse and pony enthusiasts!

Pharao and Shizana will be bred this Spring!

Our friends at Hope Springs Farms have opted to have their foal out of our beautiful Shizanas Legacy K (The Midnight Sun x Shizana Bolsoya) be sired by our new stallion, the 100% Phara Farm breeding Pharao (Burgundy Sun x The Sun Heiress)! We are very excited to have them choose to breed to Pharao for a permanent addition to their breeding program. Please join us in hoping for a filly that they will breed to their 100% Phara Farm stallion, Sun Reflection (Eclipse ofthe Sun x Rose of Phara).

We look forward to breeding Shizana to their stallion Sun Reflection so that we can hope for our filly in the near future!!

Pharao is coming to SunStar Arabians!

We are very proud to announce that the phenomenal 2004 Phara Farm stallion, Pharao (Burgundy Sun x The Sun Heiress), is now owned by SunStar Arabians!!

Pharao will be at stud to a limited number of approved mares (meaning I would choose them to breed to Pharao, not requiring any number of show wins) by live cover only this year. We look forward to offering shipped semen in 2011.

For those of you that love the Phara Farm bloodlines, this will be a terrific time to breed to a 100% Phara stallion!
