Farm news includes the recent acquisition of a 50% Phara Heritage mare sired by The Midnight Sun, Shizanas Legacy K, out of Shizana Bolsoya. This mare is a dream come true as she is one of the few living daughters of the much loved Phara Farm stallion. And to make it even better...and fate must have been at work here too...she also shares the maternal granddam (Elizan) of my very first Arabian, Barak Rainman.
Shizana is residing with friends in Washington, where she will be bred to their 100% Phara Farm stallion Sun Reflection (Eclipse ofthe Sun x Rose of Phara), a grandson of The Midnight Sun through his (deceased) daughter. She will be bred in 2010 for a foal for the stallion owners, Hope Springs Farms, to keep for their own breeding program and then bred back for a SunStar Arabians foal.
